Feedback from the Club

A precis of the latest situation from the Club.

Most importantly we hope you , your family and friends are all keeping well in this most trying of times.

The Clubhouse remains closed and in reality we expect that it will remain so for some time yet. We are taking the opportunity for a long overdue upgrade with the inside and ousideof the club being repaired and repainted.

We remain commnitted to the new build at Bodegroes but given Covid 19 and the uncertainty surrounding developments we have decided that discussions with  regard the new build will be put on hold until at least the beginning of 2021.

In fairness to the WRU they are in regular contact with Clubs. They are honest in saying that thhey do not know when training and games will resume.Though we have sixtreen teams raring to go it is the Club's view is that we would not be party to inviting any of players to the Club until it is totally safe to do so.

Work on the pitches is going well but as expected it has been slowed down given the unusually long period without significant rain. We have plans to re-turf, level some areas , to aeriate and boost growth with fertiliser and rid the pitches of some small patches of weeds  but we first need the rain!

Dafydd Brychyni and the Youth coaches and players have shown the way by orgainising a virtual Awrds Event for Player of the Season  etc. The video is well worth wathcing. Diolch Dafydd and all involved.

The Sports Club is struggling  financially at present and we are in the same predicament as many local businesses. Work is ongoing by Brian Hughes and myself to secure outside financial support. Fingers crossed for good news in the near future.

Please keep safe.

Wil Martin.
